Thanks to the generosity of ongoing sponsorship, the AEC has been able to offer Primary Scholarships each year since 1973. These scholarships have been instrumental in building the self-esteem and confidence of many hundreds of primary school Aboriginal students and encouraging them in their studies.
Based on need and/or ability these Primary Scholarships are awarded to 100 Aboriginal students at the beginning of Term One each year. Students are nominated by their respective Department of Education and Training Educational Regions.
